Italian seniors receive free digital literacy courses in Alta Irpinia and Salerno

The “Internet senza segreti” programme launched in the Alta Irpinia area will offer a free digital‑literacy course for pensioners residing in the municipalities of the Città dell’Alta Irpinia. Held at the Centro Sociale “Don Bruno Mariani” in Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi from the first week of July, the course teaches basic use of smartphones, computers, messaging apps, safe web browsing, email, social‑networking and public‑administration services such as SPID and electronic identity documents. A free social‑taxi service will help participants reach the sessions, and the initiative is funded by ANCI as part of the Irpinia Hub project.

A similar project, “Generazioni Connesse”, was concluded on 26 June in Salerno. Organized by CNA Salerno with the support of Fondazione Impresa Sensibile and Pform Lab, the laboratory provided about 100 hours of training to 35 “smart seniors” aged 65‑90.
