Italian ski team travels to Chile for training camp

Members of the Italian national alpine ski team, including Christof Innerhofer, Florian Schieder, and Dominik Paris, are traveling to La Parva, Chile, for a month-long training camp. The team will remain in the region until October 2.

The training session carries emotional weight as the athletes return to the site where teammate Matteo Franzoso died following a serious accident during a training run last year. While the primary focus is preparation for the upcoming season, the memory of the accident remains a significant factor for the group.

In addition to the La Parva camp, some athletes, such as Dominik Paris, will move to the Valle Nevado ski resort later in September. The move to South America allows elite skiers to train in snowy conditions while European glaciers face melting challenges.
