The Italian Summer Category Championships concluded at Rome's Stadio del Nuoto del Foro Italico, with senior male diver Lorenzo Marsaglia taking gold on the 1‑metre springboard and junior and youth athletes such as Filippo Di Lullo, Beatrice Calvani, Nicolò Lintozzi and Viola Bellato winning their respective events. Club rankings were led narrowly by Unione Sportiva Triestina Nuoto, followed by M.R. Sport Fratelli Marconi and the Fiamme Oro team. The next stage of the domestic series will start in Riccione.

Meanwhile, the European Junior Swimming Championships wrapped up in Munich's Olympiastadion Schwimmhalle. Italy added to its medal haul with Alessandra Mao capturing gold in the 100 m freestyle, eclipsing Federica Pellegrini's previous record, and the men's 4×200 m freestyle relay earning silver. The competition featured twelve title races on the final day, with Italian swimmers listed for multiple events across freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and medley races.
