Italian towns celebrate centenarian residents in Naso and Cantello

In the Sicilian town of Naso, 105‑year‑old Rosaria Pizzino was honored on 12 June. The celebration included a lunch at a local restaurant and remarks from Mayor Gaetano Nanì, who highlighted the town’s long life expectancy and community spirit. Pizzino, born in 1921, attributes her longevity to happiness and love, and continues to stay informed by reading newspapers and magazines.

In Lombardy’s Cantello, 108‑year‑old Rosa Rasi received official recognition from municipal authorities. The town’s administration issued a public congratulatory note, noting her status as the oldest resident and a living link to the community’s history.
