Italian towns Crotone and Saronno roll out new waste‑separation programmes

The municipality of Crotone will expand its door‑to‑door separate‑waste collection to the Parco Samà neighbourhood starting 15 July. Residents will receive carts and bins, and two information stands will open on 13 July to explain the new schedule and proper use of the equipment. Collection will run between 05:00 and 18:00 on assigned days.

In Saronno, the local council has deployed AMSA agents to monitor recycling compliance. The agents will first inform and sensitize households about correct sorting; bags or containers found non‑conforming will be labelled and not collected. Persistent errors may be reported to the municipality for possible fines. Both initiatives aim to raise recycling rates, cut disposal costs and reduce environmental impact.
