Italian towns honor centenarians Maria Pedicini and Antonietta Camba

In the town of Foglianise, Italy, 100‑year‑old Maria Pedicini was celebrated with a ceremony attended by family, friends and local officials. Mayor Giovanni Mastrocinque presented her with the national tricolour ribbon and a portrait reproducing her birth record, symbolising the community’s respect for her century‑long life.

In Sardinia, Dr. Antonietta Camba, also turning 100, received public recognition in Teulada. Mayor Angelo Milia and Cagliari mayor Marco Benucci offered congratulations. Born on 12 June 1926, she built a long medical career as a pediatrician, neuropsychiatrist and later psychoanalyst, practicing until a decade ago. The celebrations highlighted her contributions to health care and the affection of the townspeople.
