Italian towns host Madonna-themed cultural celebrations

The Museo dei Madonnari in Curtatone will hold its final weekend exhibition of Madonnara artist Mariangela Cappa, open free of charge on July 31, August 1 and August 2. Curated by museum director Paola Artoni, the show features works from Cappa’s three‑decade career, including gold‑medal pieces, monochrome paintings and pastel portraits.

On August 7, the community of Corcumello will welcome the Madonna del Monte statue in a day of faith and tradition. The event, organized by the Comitato Feste 2026, includes a musical performance by the Borgo San Panfilo group, a procession through the historic centre, flag displays and a ceremony in Piazza San Lorenzo where the statue will be received.
