Italian towns host traditional honey festivals
Various Italian towns are hosting traditional honey festivals this October. In Belforte all’Isauro, the 38th edition of the Honey and Autumn Products Festival is taking place from October 9 to 11. The event highlights local apiculture and the region's biodiversity, supported by the local administration and the Università Politecnica delle Marche, which is conducting studies on pollinator protection in the area.
In Zafferana Etnea, the 46th edition of the Ottobrata Zafferanese features a Honey Festival on October 11. This event is part of a series of weekly celebrations throughout October. The festival includes gastronomic stands, artisanal products from Mount Etna, and various cultural activities such as guided tours, musical performances, and excursions. The event features over 230 exhibitors from across Italy.
