Italian towns open new PNRR‑funded nurseries

The Carmagnola municipal council is set to meet on 30 June 2026 to discuss several agenda items, including the construction of a new municipal nursery in the Lame district. The project, financed with €5.6 million from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), will expand the existing Craveri facility to accommodate 113 children across two sites and will be managed by an external concessionaire.

In neighbouring Morro d'Alba, the mayor inaugurated a new nursery on 4 July 2026. The modern facility, built within an urban forest adjacent to the local preschool, will host up to 14 children aged six to thirty‑six months. Its construction was also funded by the PNRR, under Mission 4, Component 1, Investment 1.1, and will be operated by the regional social services agency ASP Ambito 9.

Both municipalities highlight the role of early‑childhood services in supporting families, improving local infrastructure, and leveraging European recovery funds.
