Italian towns roll out new disability inclusion programmes
The municipality of Torre del Greco has issued a public call for the “Dopo di noi” programme, aimed at people aged 18‑64 with severe disabilities who lack family support. The initiative seeks to promote autonomy, social inclusion and de‑institutionalisation through personalised projects covering housing assistance, skill‑building and temporary accommodation. Applications must be submitted by 12:00 CET on 14 July.
A separate initiative, “Pratica sportiva e inclusione sociale”, funded by the PN Metro Plus programme, will launch on 14 July at Sa Manifattura. It offers free, non‑competitive sport activities to minors and people with disabilities, supporting social inclusion and wellbeing. Third‑sector organisations with at least three years of experience are invited to submit project proposals for up to 16‑month programmes that combine sport with therapeutic and community‑building components.
