Italian Treasury Announces July 2026 Bond Auction Schedule

The Ministry of Economy and Finance released the calendar for Italy’s July 2026 Treasury auctions. Two BOT (short‑term Treasury bills) auctions are set for 9 July and 29 July, while medium‑term BTP auctions will occur on 10 July and 30 July. A combined BTP Short‑Term and BTP€i auction is scheduled for 28 July.

In June 2026 the Treasury completed three auction rounds, raising about €19.25 billion across BTP, BOT, BTP€i and CctEu issues. Yields remained low, staying under 3 % for longer‑dated BTPs and just under 2.5 % for the BOTs. Demand was strong, with coverage ratios above the 1.5 benchmark for most issues. The proceeds will be used to finance the state’s budgetary needs.

These operations illustrate the government’s ongoing strategy to fund public spending while keeping borrowing costs modest for investors ranging from retail savers to institutional buyers.
