Italy allocates 69 million euros to Campania schools via Agenda Sud

The Italian Ministry of Education and Merit has allocated approximately 69 million euros to 624 schools across Campania as part of the ‘Agenda Sud’ initiative. This program aims to address educational poverty, territorial disparities, and school dropout rates in Southern Italy.

In the Irpinia region, specifically within the province of Avellino, 44 schools will receive a total of approximately 4.8 million euros. Ciro Aquino, the mayor of Montefredane and provincial president of the Lega in Avellino, stated that these investments are crucial for strengthening skills and providing educational opportunities in fragile, inland areas. He emphasized that investing in schools serves as a social safeguard to combat depopulation by encouraging young people to remain in their local territories.
