Italy and Morocco business associations sign trade agreement

The Italian business association CNA Toscana Centro and the Organization for Trade and Industry of Morocco in Italy (OCIMI) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen economic ties and trade between Italy and Morocco.

Signed in Prato, the agreement focuses on helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the Prato and Pistoia regions expand into the Moroccan market. The partnership aims to utilize Morocco as a strategic gateway for Italian companies seeking access to African markets.

Key components of the agreement include facilitating bilateral investments, organizing business and institutional missions, and encouraging participation in joint trade fairs. OCIMI will provide support services to Italian firms, such as business profiling, identifying potential customers and suppliers, and providing guidance on navigating the Moroccan market. The framework also promotes business-to-business and business-to-government meetings to foster long-term strategic partnerships and joint ventures.
