Italy appoints new regional leaders for Forza Italia and Gioventù Nazionale

On July 4, the Forza Italia regional congress was held at the Hotel Bristol in Genoa. Carlo Bagnasco was elected regional secretary, Angelo Vaccarezza named vice‑secretary and upcoming regional council group leader, and Marco Scajola appointed head of the party’s delegation in the regional cabinet. The congress also presented a candidate list of local administrators and introduced new provincial commissioner Christopher Casati for La Spezia.

In Piacenza, the Gioventù Nazionale provincial congress elected Lorenzo Lagori as president. The event emphasized the youth wing’s commitment to active presence in schools and universities, support for the party ahead of the 2027 elections, and closer coordination with Fratelli d’Italia. Speakers highlighted the role of the organization as a training ground for future leaders.
