Italy arrests two men in separate kidnapping cases in Rome and Perugia

In Rome's Pietralata district, police arrested a 30‑year‑old man after he seized his partner and their young daughter in a car and threatened a passerby with a saber. He was detained on charges of stalking, kidnapping, threats, resistance to officials and weapon possession. The woman and child were released unharmed.

In Perugia, a foreign‑national suspect attempted to abduct a five‑year‑old girl at the Fontivegge bus station. The child's mother and nearby witnesses intervened, and police quickly arrested the man, charging him with aggravated kidnapping due to the victim’s age. Both suspects are being held pending further legal proceedings.
