Italy basketball team to face Serbia in Pesaro World Cup qualifier

The Italian men’s national basketball team will meet Serbia on 31 August at the Vitrifrigo Arena in Pesaro. The encounter is part of the second day of the second phase of the 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifying rounds.

Mayor Andrea Biancani said the match “la presenza della Nazionale rappresenta un riconoscimento alla nostra storia”, stressing the city’s basketball heritage and forecasting a boost to tourism and local businesses. Ticketing information will be announced in the coming days by the Italian Basketball Federation.
