Coach Andrea Capobianco noted that while the team struggled with technical execution and intensity in the first half, they showed immense resilience when their talent and spirit aligned during the comeback. Reflecting on the tournament, player Martina Fassina noted the team’s reliance on collective hard work rather than a high concentration of WNBA talent, emphasizing the need to regain their identity and grit. Despite the exit, Italy’s performance secured a place among the world's top 12 teams for the first time in 32 years. The squad will now shift focus to the Women's EuroBasket 2027 qualifiers beginning in November.
