German Youth Equestrians Win European Team Gold and U25 World Title

The 2026 European Championships for Children, Juniors and Young Riders were held in Hagen, Germany, from 19 to 26 July. The German junior team secured the gold medal, driven by Lennard Tillmann on Veltiner and Tony Stormanns on RMF Cinnamo, alongside teammates Brianne Beerbaum, Malte Merschformann and Jolie Kühner.

In Millstreet, Ireland, 25‑year‑old Calvin Böckmann became the inaugural U25 world champion in eventing, posting a flawless round on Altair de la Cense. The German team earned the silver medal behind Great Britain, while Ireland took bronze.

Later in July, the German Federal Youth Eventing Championship will be contested in Warendorf (30 July – 1 August). Fifteen state federations will field U16 riders in six disciplines, with defending teams Hannover (led by Michael Meier) and Westfalen (previously successful in the pony division) set to compete.

These successes highlight a strong generation of German riders advancing from national youth programs to international titles.
