Italy expands 'Carta Dedicata a Te' food assistance for 2026-2027
The Italian government is implementing the ‘Carta Dedicata a Te’ program for the 2026-2027 biennium, providing financial support for the purchase of essential food items. The benefit is distributed via nominative, rechargeable electronic cards provided by Poste Italiane.
In Frosinone, 834 cards are planned, each providing a 500 euro contribution per year. In Aosta, 330 cards are allocated for resident families. For both locations, the first installment is expected to be credited starting in late 2026 or early 2027, with the second tranche following in April 2027.
Eligibility is determined automatically by INPS without the need for an application. Requirements include residency in the specified municipality and an ISEE value not exceeding 15,000 euros. Certain groups are excluded, such as those already receiving national, regional, or municipal social inclusion measures, or those receiving unemployment benefits like NASpI, DIS-COLL, or CIG.
