To support low-income households, the Italian government has launched the fourth edition of the ‘Carta Dedicata a Te’ program. This initiative, supported by a budget of over 1 billion euros for the 2026-2027 biennium, allocates 500 million euros per year. Approximately 1.17 million families are eligible, provided they consist of at least three members, have an ISEE below 15,000 euros, and do not receive other incompatible social inclusion or poverty relief benefits. Beneficiaries are identified automatically by INPS and verified by local municipalities. The total benefit of 1,000 euros per eligible family is distributed in two 500-euro installments: the first tranche is scheduled for credit on November 4, 2026, and the second in April 2027. Additionally, INPS has announced updates for October 2026 pension payments. Under Law 207/2024, certain retirees may see changes in monthly amounts due to new tax benefits applied to benefits such as Ape Sociale and isopensione. These include an additional non-taxable sum for annual gross incomes up to 20,000 euros and tax deductions for incomes between 20,000 and 40,000 euros.
