Italy expands pet‑friendly vacation options across mountains and coasts

Italian destinations are adding a range of pet‑friendly services for travelers with dogs. In the Dolomites, Skyview Chalets at Lake Dobbiaco offer private infrared saunas, dog‑only showers and forest access, priced from €329 per night plus a €20 daily dog fee. On the Campanian coast, the glamping site at Lago di Nabi provides dog welcome kits and allows small dogs for an extra €15 per day, with rates starting at €225 per night.

On the Adriatic Riviera, Ricci Beach in Cesenatico reserves a beachfront area for dogs, supplying an umbrella, two sunbeds and a welcome kit for €10‑25 per day; rooms start at €58 per person and include a dog cleaning surcharge. The Visit Emilia initiative promotes pet‑friendly stays throughout Parma, Piacenza and Reggio Emilia.

In Valtellina, numerous mountain trails, lakes and refuges now welcome dogs. Many hotels and huts allow canine guests, and the region has introduced guided “Trekking a 4 Zampe” outings led by canine educators, as well as group walks and search‑person exercises scheduled for July‑August.
