Italy Extends Digital Facilitation Services in Bassa Romagna and Tortoreto

The Union of the Municipalities of Bassa Romagna has decided to prolong its Digital Facilitation project until December 2028. The service offers free, in‑person help with online public‑administration tools such as SPID, electronic identity cards, the electronic health record, the IO app and other digital operations. It was co‑designed and implemented by the non‑profit Villaggio Globale, which trained three facilitators (Sara, Federica and Diego) to run the "Punti Digitali Facile" across the area. Summer opening hours will be suspended from 10 to 23 August.

In the Abruzzo town of Tortoreto, the municipal "Punto Digitale Facile" has also been extended, now running through 31 December. The extension results from cooperation between the Abruzzo Region, Abruzzo Progetti S.p.A. and the Department for Digital Transformation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. Assessore Giorgio Ripani highlighted the high demand, noting that hundreds of citizens have already received assistance with public services (electronic identity cards, online certificates, health records, social and educational platforms) and private digital tools (email, messaging apps, social networks, video‑conferencing, online shopping and distance learning). Updated opening hours are listed for the Tortoreto locations.
