Italy eye health initiatives offer free vision screenings
Various eye health initiatives are being organized in Italy to promote vision awareness and prevention.
In Senigallia, Ottica Casagrande Lorella is offering free visual screenings throughout the month of October. The initiative aims to encourage individuals to monitor symptoms such as eye fatigue, reading difficulties, or headaches that may indicate a need for professional consultation.
In the Lake Como region, the Distretto del Medio Lario, in collaboration with local family clinics and the Lions Club Menaggio Centro Lago di Como, is hosting a specialized screening day on October 10 in Menaggio. This event is specifically designed for children aged 10 to 22 months to detect amblyopia, or ‘lazy eye,’ at an early developmental stage. Reservations for the Menaggio clinic are required via Eventbrite.
