Italy health initiatives launch widespread cancer screening campaigns

Various health organizations and local authorities across Italy are conducting extensive cancer prevention and health screening campaigns.

In the Avellino region, Asl Avellino is deploying mobile clinics to Sirignano, Candida, Montefredane, and Calabritto throughout September 2026 to provide free screenings for breast cancer, cervical cancer, colorectal cancer, and Hepatitis C. Similarly, in Rome, Asl Roma 6 is inviting citizens to access free oncological screenings, including Pap tests, HPV DNA tests, mammographies, and colorectal cancer tests, at various local health facilities.

Other initiatives include the Italian Red Cross (Croce Rossa Italiana) conducting health checks and BMI screenings in Marcetelli, and the ANT Foundation providing free breast cancer screenings via a mobile clinic in Prato. Additionally, the Amos Partenio association recently held a successful day of free specialist medical visits in Tuoro di Roccabascerana to promote early diagnosis and oncological prevention.
