Italy is seeing a significant wave of public sector recruitment across various industries, particularly in healthcare and administration. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, nearly 2,000 candidates applied for only 38 permanent Social and Health Operator (OSS) positions, highlighting a trend where workers migrate from the private third sector to public roles seeking stability.

Healthcare recruitment continues in other regions, including 35 nursing positions in Pavia and Verona, a single audiometrist role in Romagna, and a pharmacist position in Vimercate. The Ministry of the Interior is also seeking 10 experts to support the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (FAMI) regarding citizenship procedures.

Broader public administration opportunities for October 2026 include over 4,000 positions across ministries, municipalities, and regions. Notable openings include 2,500 volunteers for the Navy, 450 prison police trainees for the Ministry of Justice, and 400 marshals for the Carabinieri. Additionally, technical roles are available at the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) in Rome and four technical official positions within the Province of Verona.
