Italy wins EuroVolley 2026 opener against Sweden in Naples

The 2026 Men's European Volleyball Championship opened in Naples with a sold-out match at an outdoor arena constructed in Piazza del Plebiscito. The Italian national team, coached by Ferdinando De Giorgi, secured a 3-0 victory over Sweden (25-22, 25-21, 25-17).
