Italy hosts inclusive sailing event and mobile blood drives along coastal communities
The Italian Naval League’s Cirò Marina section organized “Navig‑Abile,” a sailing day for people with disabilities that included participants, families and local officials. President Giuseppe Aloisio and skipper Enzo Valente highlighted the event’s role in promoting social inclusion and maritime access.
Separately, a mobile blood‑collection project called “Mare… e non solo” operated in the pine forest of Tancau near Lotzorai, gathering 20 units of blood. The initiative, led by the ASL Ogliastra transfusion centre and the Avis of Tortolì, aims to counter the seasonal drop in donations by bringing an auto‑emoteca to popular seaside and mountain locations.
