Italy hosts major educational and vocational orientation events
Two significant educational and vocational orientation events are scheduled to take place in Italy this November.
In Verona, the 35th edition of JOB&Orienta will be held from November 25 to 28. Promoted by Veronafiere and the Veneto Region, the national salon focuses on critical and creative thinking to help youth navigate evolving professional landscapes. The event aims to bridge the gap between the educational system and the productive world, addressing issues such as school dropout rates. Italian Undersecretary for Education Paola Frassinetti noted that national dropout rates have decreased from 11% to 7%, aided by an 8 million euro allocation for orientation activities and tutor roles.
In Trento, the fifth edition of TrentinOrienta will take place from November 5 to 7 at the Trento Fiere CTE pavilions. Organized by the Autonomous Province of Trento, the event is designed to help secondary school students and their families explore local educational opportunities. Francesca Gerosa, the Assessor for Education, Culture, Youth, and Equal Opportunities, emphasized the importance of investing in orientation to support personal growth and provide stability for young people in a changing social environment.
