Italy inaugurates several new school facilities funded by PNRR
Multiple municipalities across Italy are inaugurating new or renovated educational facilities, largely funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). These projects aim to modernize school infrastructure, improve safety, and support community revitalization, particularly in mountainous or earthquake-affected areas.
In Rifreddo, Piedmont, a new early childhood center was opened in a former dairy facility following a nearly 3 million euro investment. Similarly, in Levanella, a 3.5 million euro PNRR-funded school hub was inaugurated, featuring near-zero energy building (NZEB) standards. In Navelli, a new nursery school was completed to replace a building damaged by earthquakes, funded through the ‘Scuole d’Abruzzo’ program.
Other local developments include the reopening of the Camposciello school in Recale and the opening of the Boschetti Alberti primary school, which utilizes bio-construction principles. In Cosenza, repair work has begun on a riverbank damaged by flooding near a local school complex to restore safe access for students.
