Italy introduces new regional civil service opportunities for youth
New civil service initiatives are being launched in Italy to support youth integration and digital literacy. In the Aosta Valley region, the regional government has approved a new program titled “Tutto inizia con una scelta – scegli il servizio civile”. This initiative offers young people aged 20 to 28 the opportunity to participate in up to 12 months of service starting in January 2027. Participants will receive a monthly flat-rate reimbursement of 800 euros, which covers activity-related expenses. The program covers various sectors, including civil protection and personal services, requiring a commitment of at least 30 hours per week.
In Turin, Cascina Roccafranca is offering a Digital Civil Service position through the “CTRL+ALT+CASA” project. Aimed at individuals aged 18 to 28, this role focuses on computer education and bridging the digital skills gap. The project seeks to help citizens become more autonomous in using internet and digital public and private services. Applications for the Turin position can be submitted via the online platform until November 6, 2026.
