Italy issues commemorative stamp to mark ASI's 60th anniversary

A new ordinary stamp honoring the 60th anniversary of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI) was unveiled in Rome at the Palazzo Piacentini, the headquarters of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The stamp joins the “Le eccellenze del patrimonio culturale italiano” series, underscoring the cultural, social and historical value of Italy’s historic motor vehicles.

The presentation was attended by State Under‑Secretary for Philately Fausta Bergamotto, ASI President Alberto Scuro, officials of Poste Italiane and the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato. The graphic design references Futurism, linking the dynamism of early‑20th‑century art with the movement of historic cars and motorcycles, and aims to highlight Italy’s role as a cradle of motorisation.

The stamp is now sold through Poste Italiane’s philatelic points and post offices nationwide, offering collectors a miniature time capsule that celebrates motor heritage while promoting the preservation of automotive history for future generations.
