Italian commemorative stamps 2026
Entities: Poste Italiane · Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato · Claudia Giusto · Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy · Aeranti‑Corallo
Overview
In June 2026 Italy issued an ordinary stamp for the 60th anniversary of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano (ASI), featuring Futurist motifs and historic motor vehicles. A month later a second stamp honored the 60th anniversary of the Consorteria del Balsamico Tradizionale, depicting the 1862 recipe letter and wooden barrels, with a limited run of 180 000 copies.
On 10 July 2026 a third stamp marked the 50th anniversary of Italy’s local radio and television sector. Unveiled by Industry Minister Adolfo Urso at the RadioTv Forum in Rome, the circular design shows an antenna with the number 50 and references the 1976 Constitutional Court decision that ended the state monopoly on local broadcasting. The industry association Aeranti‑Corallo used the occasion to outline a digital transition to DVB‑T2 for TV and DAB+ for radio, emphasizing the sector’s democratic role.
A further release on 20 July 2026 commemorated the "Maria Dolens" war bell of Rovereto, marking the bell’s centenary and the broader centenary of World‑War‑I memorials.
On 28 July 2026 another stamp in the "Le Eccellenze del Patrimonio culturale italiano" series celebrated the same 50‑year milestone for local radio and TV. Designed by Claudia Giusto and printed in six‑color rotary on self‑adhesive paper, 180 012 copies were issued in sheets of 28, with a first‑day‑of‑issue postmark in Ancona. Promotion was led by Poste Italiane and supported by Aeranti‑Corallo.
These issues illustrate a coordinated Italian programme that employs philately to celebrate cultural, technological, gastronomic and historical heritage as part of the Made in Italy promotion.
