Italy Issues Stamp to Mark 50th Anniversary of Local Radio and TV
On 28 July, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy released an ordinary stamp as part of the "Le Eccellenze del Patrimonio culturale italiano" series. The stamp commemorates the 50 year milestone of Italy’s local radio and television broadcasters.
The design, created by Claudia Giusto, was printed by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato using six‑color rotary printing on self‑adhesive white coated paper. A total of 180 012 copies were produced, sold in sheets of 28 stamps.
The first‑day‑of‑issue postmark was made available at the Ancona post office. The issue was promoted by Poste Italiane and supported by the broadcaster association Aeranti‑Corallo, which proposed the tribute.
