The Italian government has launched a large-scale recruitment drive for multiple public sector bodies. On 2 July 2026 the Department of Public Administration approved over 3,600 permanent positions across ministries, agencies and public entities, with the Ministry of the Interior receiving the largest allocation (1,086 posts) followed by the Tax Agency (1,022). Separately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has opened applications for 95 permanent positions – 60 in administration and consular services, 20 in export‑statistical analysis and 15 for engineers and architects – with a deadline of 30 July 2026.
