Italy launches forensic reconstruction into David Rossi death

A parliamentary inquiry commission has ordered a forensic reconstruction to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of David Rossi, the former head of communications for Monte dei Paschi di Siena. Rossi died on March 6, 2013, after falling from the bank's headquarters in Siena.

In an interim report released this past March, the commission officially ruled out suicide, instead supporting the theory of homicide. Investigators are now exploring the possibility of an assault or physical altercation that resulted in Rossi being thrown from the window.

Starting Monday, September 28, experts will conduct operations at the Foro Italico to recreate the scene. The reconstruction will utilize a replica of the window and an athlete of similar build to Rossi to determine the physical force required for such an act. This process aims to establish whether Rossi was conscious during the fall and whether the incident involved one or multiple aggressors.
