Italy launches Integrated Autoimpiego Plan to boost youth self‑employment

The Italian Ministry of Labour and Social Policies introduced the Integrated Autoimpiego Plan under Decreto Coesione (DL 60/2024), funded by EU resources via the national Giovani, donne e lavoro Fse+ programme and the PNRR. The scheme offers non‑repayable grants to start new businesses in most sectors, excluding agriculture, fishing and aquaculture. It includes optional online training—60 hours of collective courses followed by 40 hours of individualized or small‑group coaching—to help participants develop a complete business plan for Invitalia incentives. Delivered by ENM, the training is financed with €100 million. Beneficiaries also receive two types of tutoring: technical support for investment and reporting, and managerial support to address startup challenges. The aim is to foster entrepreneurship, reduce youth exclusion from the labour market and promote social inclusion across Italy.
