Italy launches nationwide free migraine clinics on June 17
The Fondazione Onda ETS is organizing the fourth edition of a free migraine Open Day on 17 June across Italy. More than 140 hospitals in the Bollino Rosa network will provide complimentary neurological examinations, specialist consultations, diagnostic tests and informational material.
The event aims to raise awareness of migraine—a chronic, disabling neurological disorder that affects about 6 million Italians, roughly 70 % of whom are women. Organizers highlight that migraine is the third most common disease and the second most disabling worldwide, affecting around 14 % of adults.
Specific appointments are scheduled, for example with Dr. Alessandro Montanari at the Neurology Unit of the Senigallia hospital and Dr. Eva Perticaroli at the Jesi hospital, to facilitate direct patient access and reduce diagnostic delays that can lead to chronicisation.
