Italy launches regional vaccination campaigns in Marche and Molise

Health authorities in the Italian regions of Marche and Molise have launched seasonal vaccination campaigns targeting influenza and COVID-19.

In Marche, Federfarma Marche has initiated an information campaign to promote pharmacies as local healthcare hubs where citizens can receive various vaccinations. The regional program for the 2026-2027 season includes 375,100 doses of the influenza vaccine. Available services in participating pharmacies include vaccinations for influenza, COVID-19, pneumococcus, herpes zoster, and human papillomavirus (HPV), depending on age and regional guidelines.

In Molise, the vaccination campaign focuses on protecting vulnerable populations, including individuals over 60, children aged 6 months to 6 years, and those with chronic conditions. The initiative aims to reduce hospitalizations and emergency room visits. Vaccination is offered free of charge to high-risk groups and strategic workers, such as healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and firefighters.
