Italy launches Transizione 5.0 business incentive phase

From 21 July 2026 Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made‑in‑Italy (MIMI) has activated the operational phase of the Transizione 5.0 incentive plan. Companies that received a positive preliminary assessment can now submit a confirmation of investment through the GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici) platform.

The confirmation must certify that at least a 20 % advance payment of the total cost has been made and include the relevant invoice details. It cannot modify the original project, add new assets, or increase the declared amount. All submissions are to be made electronically within the prescribed deadline, using the model and guidelines provided on the GSE portal. The scheme offers tax credits of up to 180 % for eligible energy‑transition investments.
