The Italian men's national basketball team has commenced its 2026 training camp in Folgaria. This camp serves as a primary preparation phase for upcoming high-level matches against Bosnia and Herzegovina on August 28 in Tuzla and Serbia on August 31 in Pesaro.

The squad, led by coach Pozzecco, is working toward the 2027 World Cup. The roster for the initial phase includes several players, with key figures such as Niccolò Melli, Simone Fontecchio, and Darius Thompson expected to join the group starting August 14.

Additionally, the women's national team is scheduled to play Italy against China on August 21 in Trento as part of their preparations for the upcoming World Cup in Berlin.
