Italy ramps up public‑sector hiring in 2026 with thousands of new positions
The Italian public administration announced a series of large‑scale recruitment drives for 2026. The RIPAM competition will fill 3,997 posts across several categories, including 2,913 administrative assistants, 498 economic assistants, 583 IT assistants and three technical assistants. The Ministry of Justice completed its PNRR stabilization, publishing final lists for 9,119 permanent positions: 6,919 addetti UPP, 712 administration technicians and 1,488 data‑entry operators, effective from 1 July 2026. Health‑sector hiring also expanded, with Villa Sofia‑Cervello hospital in Palermo opening 15 permanent posts (11 administrative assistants and four professional collaborators) and the Policlinico Umberto I in Rome offering three administrative assistant roles for protected‑category candidates. Local employment centres in La Spezia posted 83 vacancies for cleaners, drivers and manual workers. A nationwide July call lists more than 3,300 openings, notably 1,695 INPS officials, 499 INPS IT assistants and dozens of positions at CONSOB, ANAC and other agencies. Deadlines for most applications fall between late June and late July 2026.
