Italy promotes inclusion through paralympic sports and accessible mobility

Various initiatives in Italy are promoting inclusion and accessibility through sports and mobility. BMW Motorrad, through its SpecialMente program, recently held an event at the Vallelunga Circuit to demonstrate barrier-free two-wheeled mobility for riders with disabilities. As part of this program, Niccolò Zanardi has been named a new Ambassador, continuing a legacy of breaking barriers in sport associated with Alessandro Zanardi.

Simultaneously, the paralympic relay known as Obiettivo Tricolore, an initiative founded by Alex Zanardi, is scheduled to visit Montalcino on September 23. The event will feature a village at the Montalcino Fortress where approximately 60 paralympic athletes will engage with students and the public to share experiences and promote paralympic disciplines. The relay, which began in 2020, will travel through several Italian regions, including Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, and Liguria, to spread messages of determination and inclusion.
