Italy promotes innovation partnership at Big Tech Africa in Tunis

The Big Tech Africa summit has commenced in Tunis, focusing on digital innovation and African startups. Italy is participating in the event through the Italian Innovation Hub, an initiative promoted by the ICE Agency in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Tunis.

Alessandro Prunas, the Italian Ambassador to Tunis, highlighted the potential for increased collaboration through innovation and startup ecosystems. He noted that while over one thousand Italian companies are currently active in Tunisia across various sectors, there is a significant opportunity to expand partnerships beyond traditional manufacturing and textiles into high-skill areas. Prunas emphasized that Tunisia possesses a strong intellectual capacity and a promising startup ecosystem that can benefit from bilateral exchanges.
