Italy Public Administration to launch major recruitment drives

The Italian Public Administration is initiating significant recruitment drives to modernize its workforce and replace retiring staff. Recent decrees and plans outline thousands of new positions across various government sectors.

One decree authorizes over 3,500 hires, with the Ministry of the Interior accounting for nearly one-third of these roles, including 1,086 positions for officials and managers. The Revenue Agency is also set to add 1,022 personnel through a mix of public competitions, mobility, and existing rankings. Other major allocations include 482 positions for the Ministry of Culture and 449 for the Customs and Monopolies Agency.

Additional recruitment efforts focus on the justice sector, which aims to fill approximately 1,400 roles to support courts and judicial offices. INPS plans to hire over 1,000 experts, particularly in economics and IT, while the Ministry of Culture seeks around 700 staff members to assist with digital innovation and heritage protection. The Ministry of Economy and Finance expects to hire 400 specialized financial figures, and the Court of Auditors will recruit technical and accounting personnel.
