Italy records magnitude 4.2 quake near Ceneselli and 3.1 tremor near Librizzi

On 28 October 2023 at 15:29 CEST a seismic event of magnitude 4.2 ML was recorded 1 km east of Ceneselli in the province of Rovigo, Italy, at a depth of about 8 km. The event was mapped with intensity scales (Mercalli and European Macroseismic) and data were collected from over 3,100 questionnaires across 817 municipalities.

A separate, smaller tremor of magnitude 3.1 ML was reported near the town of Librizzi on the island of Messina, Italy. The observation was published by Weather Sicily, which includes a standard disclaimer about the use of its meteorological forecasts.
