Italy records separate magnitude‑3 quakes in Catanzaro and Campi Flegrei
A magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck the province of Catanzaro in Calabria on 26 June 2026 at 11:03 local time. The tremor originated at a depth of 32.3 km, was clearly felt by residents, but caused no reported injuries or damage.
Later, on the night of 25 June 2026, a magnitude 3.6 quake rocked the Campi Flegrei volcanic area near Pozzuoli, close to Naples. The event occurred at 04:17 local time, at a shallow depth of about 2.6 km. It was widely felt in surrounding districts and nearby towns, yet likewise resulted in no casualties or structural harm.
