Italy reports a series of thefts at Alba Adriatica railway bar and Albinea Conad supermarket
In Alba Adriatica, Abruzzo, unknown perpetrators forced entry to the bar inside the railway station during the night, stealing tobacco, lottery tickets and coffee‑making equipment. The incident follows a previous robbery at the same venue, raising concerns about security in the coastal train stations of the Teramo province.
In Albinea, Reggio Emilia, a 44‑year‑old man entered a Conad supermarket, took several pieces of Parmigiano Reggiano and cured meat, and fled through service stairs, discarding the bag in a hedge. The store owner pursued the suspect, alerting the Carabinieri, who apprehended him nearby and recovered the stolen goods. Both cases highlight ongoing retail theft issues in different Italian regions.
