Italy sets July 31 deadline for Euro 2032 stadium dossiers

The Italian government, represented by Sports Minister Andrea Abodi, met with FIGC President Giovanni Malagò, CONI President Luciano Buonfiglio, stadium commissioner Massimo Sessa and Euro 2032 Italy Executive Director Michele Uva to finalise the plan for the UEFA European Championship in 2032. The aim is to submit nine to ten complete stadium dossiers to UEFA by 31 July, covering contracts, project designs and guarantees, with a possible extension for additional documentation until mid‑September. The FIGC will then select five primary venues in early October, supported by reserve stadiums ready to step in if needed. UEFA will evaluate the files and certify the facilities that meet its standards. The government has allocated financial resources through the Italian Sports Fund, managed by the Credit Sportivo e Culturale, to ensure coordinated and permanent oversight of the process. Malagò expressed confidence, saying, “I am fully satisfied, the climate is excellent.” The selected venues are projected to generate between €800 million and €1 billion in economic impact for each host city.
