Italy sets September 4 2026 deadline for appliance‑bonus merchant reimbursements

The Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT) has fixed a final deadline of 23:59 on 4 September 2026 for accredited retailers to submit reimbursement claims for vouchers issued under the 2025 Appliance Bonus. The scheme, which subsidised the replacement of old appliances with energy‑efficient models, provided a discount of up to €100 per household and up to €200 for families with an ISEE below €25,000. The discount was applied at point of sale, with merchants later reclaiming the amount from the state.

The September 2026 deadline closes the administrative phase for merchants; consumers do not need to apply for any new benefit. As of 10 July 2026, 169 retailers had still not filed their requests, leaving an unpaid amount of about €1.078 million to be settled.
