Italy to host major science and youth generation festivals

The 24th edition of the Festival della Scienza is scheduled to take place in Genova from October 22 to November 1, 2026. This international event for scientific culture will feature approximately 250 events, including conferences, exhibitions, and workshops, organized through collaborations with over 300 research institutions, universities, and companies.

In preparation, the festival has launched an ‘Early Bird’ promotion for Standard Subscriptions, offering discounted access to all events. Additionally, pre-registration for school groups has opened for educators.

Separately, Rimini will host the inaugural Festival delle Giovani Generazioni from October 8 to 10, 2026. This national event focuses on Generation Z, addressing themes of education, work, creativity, and civic participation. The festival will center around the ‘Villaggio dei Giovani’ in Piazza Malatesta, featuring various interactive areas such as workshops, talks, and artistic expressions. The event will conclude with the presentation of the ‘Youz 5’ Manifesto to regional authorities to advocate for concrete public policies based on youth feedback.
